Sirvió como transporte mixto de pasajeros y carga (principalmente chatarra de acero hacía Japón) entre Seattle, Puget Sound y Kobe.<br /><br />Buque SS Passat: Buque aleman de tipo velero botado en 1911. cuya principal función hasta 1932 fue el transporte de nitrato desde Chile a Alemania. Actualmente se encuentra en Travemünde, Alemania, reconvertido en un barco museo.&nbsp;<br /><br />Buque SS Padua: Buque de acero alemán de cuatro mástiles, botado en 1926. Hasta 1939 funcionó como transporte de nitrato entre Chile y Alemania, siendo capturado por los rusos en 1946 y posteriormente recostruido y rebautizado como Krusenstern.
